Lets Go For Dinner supports the Learning Disabilities Association of BC

The Learning Disabilities Association of British Columbia (LDA-BC) - Helping people, professionals and teachers find solutions to Learning Disabilities. The right to learn, the power to achieve.

The Learning Disabilities Association of British Columbia is a non-governmental, registered charity dedicated to improving the well being of people with learning disabilities – a neurobiological condition that impacts on the way a person learns.

LDABC provides information, networking and mutual support needs of people with learning disabilities (LDs) who represent up to 10% of our children, youth and adults, and of caregivers and professionals who support them.

LDABC partners with leading professionals in the field of LD to understand and support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers and other professionals. We provide cutting edge information on learning disabilities (LDs), practical solutions, and tools that help people with LD to learn and to achieve their full potential. The LDABC’s Community Outreach and Education Program (COPE) is the centrepiece that gives direct support to BC communities by providing:

  • Access to services in their local community
  • Access to current research regarding medical, legal and social issues affecting people living with Learning Disabilities
  • Access to a supportive network of local chapters (7 in BC), resource professionals and like-minded organizations

When you buy a membership at LetsGoForDinner.com, fifty percent of the proceeds go to LDABC.

LDABC will direct the funds to our COPE activities, which works within our local communities to ensure that each child can learn no matter what his/her learning styles and to help him/her to acquire the power to reach his/her full potential.
